Kezon101 In Virtual Staff Entrepreneur Program Webinar "A Great Time In Adding And Learning New Information"

What Is The Virtual Staff Entrepreneur Program?

The Virtual Staff Entrepreneur is a 14 week free program for virtual assistants, or as the program suggest virtual staff entrepreneur. Webinars are scheduled until January 25 to cover topics that are helpful for those who wants to work online.

The 14 webinar session training program was inspired us to participate not just its free but also learning a lot of basic skills that are necessary to support or pursue e-commerce and start-up entrepreneurship aspirations in our province of Quezon and share it to our readers.

The said webinars are conducted by Genesis Reonico of Online Jobs University, Ron Cirujano of Elance, and Janette Toral.

The  New Era Of Social Networking

What we learn from this one in great webinar that support and teach as every wanna be virtual staff entrepreneur and that gives us a great birds eye view.On this fast growing era of social networking.

That's the underlying question you must answer anytime you present your business or products to a prospect.

If you opened a new restaurant or retail store, you would certainly contact everyone you know and let them know about your business.

Perhaps you would make a phone call or send out a mailer.

 I recommend both.

Send out a mailer and then give them a call to personally invite them to check out your business.

Beyond, those you know, find inexpensive ways that you can advertise your business in the local area - Penny Saver papers, posting business cards/brochures on bulletin boards, flyers placed on windshields, targeted newsletters and email lists.

To know the topic more, you can register here to attend the live webinar http://certified.digitalfilipino.com/course/virtual-staff-entrepreneur-program/ or view the webinar recordings here http://certified.digitalfilipino.com/lesson/lesson-1-become-a-virtual-staff-entrepreneur/) .

KEZON 101 Interview With Campville's Food Industries " Not To Settle With One Thing But Also Try Different Thing"

Where did the idea for Campville's Food Industries come from?

Our family business started almost 10 decades ago it was our grandparents who started it all. It was just a small business then. They started with our locally made sweets (tikoy, espasol, cocojam, pickled papaya and hinalo).

How do you bring ideas to life?

Campville Food Industries was born more than a decade ago. Campville was originally named after our grandparents “Campita” but since it was on our mom’s side so we decided to incorporate our dad’s last name “Villaverde”. That is where Campville was born and It is because of our parent’s dedication, patience and trust in God that makes our small business grow.

What is one habit of yours that makes you more productive as an entrepreneur?

As a child I remember my mom always says whenever she ask us to buy something from the store. If we didn’t find the thing she asked us to buy, never come home empty handed instead think of something that could replace it. I realized my mom was trying to instill in our mind not to settle with one thing but also try different thing. As an entrepreneur, what is the one thing you do over and over and recommend everyone else do? In business u must have critical thinking , u have to be creative too. We all know that all kinds of businesses has it’s ups and downs. We have high and low season too. The most effective way on how you can grow your business is to market it.

What is one strategy that has helped you grow your business? Please explain how.

Our clients and agents also encourage us to try new ideas that can be added in our product since our market is getting bigger and the demand is getting higher. That is why we decided to venture on canned pastries and lately we just started our own pansit lucban. Introducing a new product was a good idea since we’ve been marketing our goods in some of the pasalubong stores in towns nearby . Although marketing our product is kind of tiring and risky but it’s worth and challenging too. In additional to our product is also our commercial bread, these are consumable and normally seen in the table everyday.

What is one business idea that you’re willing to give away to our readers?

As an entrepreneur I would suggest to those who dream of having their own is to start with small and sustainable business. Think of something that you would love and enjoy doing everyday. Study your market, what is needed and salable, what is in and what is out-you have to be creative or innovative. And most importantly you must know how to manage your finances.

What people have influenced your thinking and might be of interest to others?

Engaging in a business I may say is not easy as counting till three. There’s hardship and uncertainty, it’s like a gamble because you are not sure if it will succeed or not. But it’s worth a try. All u need is a little confidence, determination and BIG TRUST in GOD.

Welcome Chinese New Year In Quezon Province " TIKOY SPECIAL"

Kiong Hee Huat Chai! Means "Congratulations and a Prosperous new year!" only a few days left before the Year of the Water Dragon, the Chinese (and other believers of Chinese superstition).

2014 Year of Horse begins on February 4, 2014 - Chinese New Year Day is on January 31, 2014

Chinese New Year Background:

Chinese New Year Day is the first day of the first lunar month of Chinese calendar year. The Chinese new year day is always between January 20 to February 20 of the Gregorian calendar each year.

The preparation to celebrate the Chinese New Year festival begins around 8th day of 12th lunar month. The last day of the Chinese New Year festival is on the 15th day of first lunar month. That means it required about three weeks to prepare the festival and 15 days to celebrate it.

Traditionally, a Chinese man works outside for living and his wife takes care everything inside home. A month is not long enough for a housewife to clean entire house, put new interior and exterior decoration, prepare new clothes and gifts for all family members, and food for many events.

You can image that Chinese New Year festival combines Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year Day together.

TIKOY SPECIAL

Did you known that Tikoy is one of auspicious food every new year and Chinese new year because of the belief that its brings the closeness of family and friends.

So we did a little research about what and where Quezonians buy or taste the famous tikoy of Quezon in the province and its lead us to four well known pasalubong chain and center and a town in the province that said to house and hold the record and legacy of making the best tikoy in MacalelonQuezon in the southern part of the province.

The Creative Map Of Our Brain Find Out Why "I Am The Left Brain" and "I Am The Right Brain"

Creativity is just connecting things. When you ask creative people how they did something, they feel a little guilty because they didn't really do it, they just saw something. It seemed obvious to them after a while. That's because they were able to connect experiences they've had and synthesize new things.

KEZON101 Interview With The Designer Sidney Perez Sio “Make It Happen"

Where did the idea for Sidney Perez Sio Couture come from?

Sidney Perez Sio Couture is a 23 year old company, it started summer of 1990, after working w/ Designer Bubum Melgar – I put up a small slip in Philam Q.C. along Edsa after 4 years, in 1994 I was a candidate for Young Designer Competition in Singapore. The idea came from my Mentor Bubum Melgar to put up my own business.

What does your typical day look like? How do you bring ideas to life?

> A Typical day for me, during breakfast, I will do sketching for my collection; RTW & MTO by 11AM, I go straight to Divisoria to buy fabrics for my clients.

> It will start with a drawing or a note, or a to do list everyday, I will make sure that it will happen. Even with my subordinates I will use the “words”, “Make It Happen” in 20 minutes or else.

What’s one trend that really excites you?

1              One trend that really excites me is the Avant Garde movement because as a Designer I can express myself to the maximum. Traditionally a  fashion season is defined by weather patterns, for me as  Filipino Designer, typically I work to 2 season a year – Holiday/ Wet season and Summer/ dry season. By separating the seasons, my key fabrics, colors and shapes can be determined by weather patterns of the Philippines.

What is one habit of yours that makes you more productive as an entrepreneur?

1       One Habit of SPS that make me more productive as an entrepreneur. Is “Now or Never Attitude” I just do it, I am result oriented person that’s why I can say I am very productive.

What was the worst job you ever had and what did you learn from it? and If you were to start again, what would you do differently?

1   > My worst job is a garbage collector in a Greek Company in NYC in winter 1997. I learn to be more humble and kind to everyone because I realize that it is really hard to earn a living.
1
    > To Start again,I will not drink alcohol again, I Love to b sober to start again I want more self discipline, I like to be an athlete in my next lifetime, to sleep early and to wake up around 3 AM and do some physical exercise.

As an entrepreneur, what is the one thing you do over and over and  recommend everyone else do?

My advice to all that will do business like me is to stick in one field like one business, whatever happens don’t give up because every business has a season Season of no sale season of lots of sale stick to one business and you will go places!

What is one strategy that has helped you grow your business? Please explain how.

One strategy that helped me grow my business is to know competition information.

What is one failure you had as an entrepreneur, and how did you overcome it?

Failure as a Designer Entrepreneur is always a term “No Sale” sometimes it extend up to 3 Months that you don’t have sale, so you have to get up, dress up and do sale or else people under you will curse you to death, so you have to make sales promo, like fashion show to attract new clientele.

What is one business idea that you’re willing to give away to our readers?

Business idea that I am willing to give away to our reader as a Designer Entrepreneur, running as successful fashion house requires 90% business accumulate and 10% artistic ability. Most Fashion houses start – ups are manage by the designers themselves who, whilst strong on the design font, may have only a very rudimentary understanding of the business of fashion, as a result, although thousands of talented fashion designers graduated every year, most new fashion designers start – ups fail.

Tell us something about you that very few people know?

Something about me that very few people know are the following:

A.      I am very faithfull to my business
B.      Sometimes I cheat
C.      I love careless and foolishness when it comes to fun
D.      I love to pray from different churches
E.       I love pork adobo
F.       I love fish spa
G.     I dream to be a lotto winner
H.      I am fond of Cubao, Divisoria, Quiapo, New York, Tokyo, Hong Kong
I.        I miss Pagbilao beaches and mountains
J.     I love eating crepe in the street of Paris and black fried cake “Parirutong” in Pagbilao

What is the one book that you recommend our community should read and why?

The one book that I can recommend to our community should read is “The Bible”. Because it leads you to closer relationship with God, the center of our life, Bible is a faithful companion in our experiences in life.

What people have influenced your thinking and might be of interest to others?

In Youtube, watch McQueen and I, it’s all about life of a designer McQueen.

     Thank You,

   Sidney Perez Sio

Quote For The Day

  • And the night shall be filled with music, And the cares that infest the day Shall fold their tents like the Arabs And as silently steal away. ~Henry Wads worth Longfellow, The Day Is Done

  •  Letters are like wine; if they are sound they ripen with keeping. A man should lay down letters as he does a cellar of wine. Samuel Butler
